«From Coast to Coast» is a promotional event promoted by the Costa Brava Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Girona which visits once again San Sebastián-Donosti and which aims to position the Costa Brava as an enogastronomic tourism destination among travel agents , journalists and referring prescribers of Spain, through an exclusive gastronomic experience elaborated by eleven Michelin stars.
Last Wednesday, March 20, at the Arima Hotel in San Sebastián-Donosti, there was a double session of a gastro-experiential event that brought together three Catalan chefs -including our chef Marc Gascons- and three Basque chefs, who through their talent and its creativity conveyed the promotion of the gastronomic, cultural and scenic attractions of the Costa Brava among a small group of prescribers and tourist intermediaries.
Among the six chefs, who add eleven Michelin stars, they prepared a special menu consisting of six dishes that alternated recipes and products from both coasts, the Girona and the Basque Country, and which they accompanied with agri-food products with the Girona Excel·lent quality seal and DO Empordà wines.
The meeting was attended by the Catalan chefs and ambassadors of the Costa Brava Paco Pérez (restaurants Miramar **, in Llançà, Tierra *, in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and Enoteca **, in Barcelona), Mateu Casañas (Enjoy restaurants **, in Barcelona, and Compartir, in Cadaqués) and our chef Marc Gascons (restaurant Els Tinars *, in Llagostera), who worked together with the Basque chefs such as Paulo Airaud (Amelia * restaurant, in Donosti), Álvaro Garrido (Mina restaurant *, in Bilbao) and Sergio Ortiz de Zarate (Zarate restaurant *, in Bilbao) for a showcooking experience.
